Thank you, thank you

Sunday night while watching Desperate Houswives & Brothers & Sister re-runs. I made my thank you cards for my wonderful co-workers.
My next project is to start a fabric covered baby album for my Syl's co-worker. I also want to try to stiffen the some of the fabric I will be using to make the album to make a layout for the album. I read about this @ Craft Critique I enjoy reading this site daily. Well Happy Monday to all

Quilt Classes

Saturday the 24th I took a quilting class at Michales; we are making the cutest puppy quilt. I am going to give it to Ty. (shh its a surprise) After class I was all geared up to finish the piecing I worked till after 11p. I also decided to finished the quilt from the previous class. We will meet again to do the pining and last but least the quilting portion. This is my 5th class and I still make so many mistakes...quilting is not as easy as it sounds. You need to make sure you sew the right colors together, your cutting needs to be pretty exact plus your seams need to always be 1/4 in.
I am very proud of the puppy quilt most of my squares line up correctly. My wonderful teacher Caryn has the patience of a saint; she uses me as the example of WHAT NOT TO DO. I guess that does not qualify me as teachers pet. ;0

Baby Boy Pages Finally Done

I finished the baby boy pages for DH co-worker. These are 8.5 x 11in pages, I used paper & stamps I purchased at Michaels. All that is left is to deliver the gift..I hope mom keeps up with the scrap booking.

Friends

I found this poem on the Internet http://www.indianchild.com/friendship.htmA , it made me think of my wonderful friends. We call ourselves the "Wenches"; here is a layout I did with my friends. "A friend is like a flower,a rose to be exact,Or maybe like a brand new gate that never comes unlatched.A friend is like an owl, both beautiful and wise.Or perhaps a friend is like a ghost, whose spirit never dies.A friend is like a heart that goes strong until the end.Where would we be in this world if we didn't have a friend?"
Thank you ladies for being such good friends luv ya!

I used a $1 stamp from Michael's and I had Ty write the sentiment. I still have a few projects to finish up.

Bye, bye Cuttle Bug

I returned my Cuttle Bug as soon as I learned that my Wizard can do the job. The Wizard embosses deeper than the Sizzix not sure how it compares to the Cuttle Bug since I did not use it. It was sad to say goodbye since it was so cute, but it had to be done. I did take a quilting class at Michael's with the store credit; almost done with the quilt...
Today was a wonderfully lazy day... I just love the weekends.
